Material is .024 Thk ½ hard stainless
.110 wide trim off the top and bottom of the part induced a .150 bow in the blank before it was formed.
In tempered material when long narrow trims are taken off the top and the bottom of the blank, the blank will tend to bow.
The bow is impossible to remove in the tooling.

When a closed gap is required provide clearance notches in opposite surface.
To reduce tooling cost make shears straight instead of curved.

.020 Thk Phos Bronze Spring Temper

Part II

.045 Thk Olin 194 Extra Hard

As the material hardness increases so does the amount of twist in blanked sections of a part.
It was not possible to get the fingers of part I to line up as shown.
In part II the 7.62 finger in the base of the part was never completely flat.
